It's been a very busy week! Here are the highlights:
-Last week, lots of children had been baking using playdough and cupcakes. On Monday, we decided to have a go at making some real ones. We baked banana and oat muffins.
-On Wednesday we planted some 'grass' (rice seeds) in preparation for our dinosaur den and display.
-On Thursday we shared a book called 'Bumpus, Jumpus, Dinosaurumpus' by Tony Mitton and Guy Parker-Rees. The children joined in with the dinosaur and actions and learnt words such as 'dinosaur', 'tail', 'horns' and 'huge'.
-Today, Ms Grace shared the story 'Digger' by Liz Million. In the story there is a dinosaur called Digger who is trying to work out what he is good at. The children also began thinking about what they are good at.
-The children have also been doing lots of counting with dinosaurs.
As you can see, the children been expressing an interest in dinosaurs. Next week is Book week at TX so we will continue to focus on the Digger story. Please see the Book week post and the class noticeboard for details of events and how you can join in.
Notices:
-There will be no swimming or News next week due to Book week activities.
-The children go to the library on Tuesdays. All library books need to be returned before or on that day so that your child can borrow another book.
