Dear Parents,
It's been a very busy week in the F2 unit. Here are the highlights:
-This week, the children visited the library for first time this term. Ms Grace shared an 'Elmer' story with the children after they had chosen their books.
-We have been busy practising for our EYFS Moon Festival parade. We have also been making lanterns which have involved lots of cutting skills and painting.
-The children have been enjoying using different Mathematics games on the computers. Their favourites have involved counting and number recognition. www.topmarks.co.uk and www.crickweb.co.uk are websites that you might be interested in having a look at, at home.
-The children have enjoyed reading 'Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?' and 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?'
-This week was the first week full-time children had their lunch at school. As mentioned by Ms Sue in her newsletter, we have a new menu which includes both Western and Asian food. The children have been encouraged to choose the food they would like to try and serve themselves, as well as clear up their dishes afterwards. All children are given vegetables and encouraged to try a wide variety of food. Lots of children have opted to try both the Asian and Western options!
Please note:
-Full-time children will be in all day next week 7.55 am-2.30 pm. All full-time children should bring a toothbrush and toothpaste with them
-EYFS will celebrate Moon Festival on Thursday 19th September in the foyer at 8.30 a.m. Please bring your child to school in traditional Ao Dai and a uniform set in their bag. All EYFS parents are invited to share our celebration.
-Parent consultations will take place on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Please see the sign up on the classroom noticeboard.
