Newsletter 20th September
Dear Parents,
4 weeks of school have already passed and it is really nice to see children showing more confidence interacting with other children and adults in class. They have also been doing things independently in the classroom such as putting on their shoes, choosing activities to engage on, serving their own food during snack bar and lunch time.
This week we are also very proud of how the children have performed during our Moon Festival celebration. This is just the start of many school performances your children will participate in at school.
Just a few reminders :
* Kindly make sure to get a 'Late Slip' from the office before you take your child to the classroom.
* Bracelets or any other accessory/jewelry apart from earrings (studs) are not allowed to be worn at school.
* Girls have been wearing really nice hair clips lately however we are afraid that these accessories might get lost. May we ask to limit your child's hair accessories to a simple pony tail or clips?
* We will be celebrating Book Week in a couple of weeks at school, more information will be sent to you next week.
Thank you very much and have a lovely weekend.
Enjoy the Moon Festival performance clip below and some photographs of the children in action.
Regards,
Ms Grace and Ms Gurvinder

Dear Parents,
It's been a very busy week in the F2 unit. Here are the highlights:
-This week, the children visited the library for first time this term. Ms Grace shared an 'Elmer' story with the children after they had chosen their books.
-We have been busy practising for our EYFS Moon Festival parade. We have also been making lanterns which have involved lots of cutting skills and painting.
-The children have been enjoying using different Mathematics games on the computers. Their favourites have involved counting and number recognition. www.topmarks.co.uk and www.crickweb.co.uk are websites that you might be interested in having a look at, at home.
-The children have enjoyed reading 'Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?' and 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?'
-This week was the first week full-time children had their lunch at school. As mentioned by Ms Sue in her newsletter, we have a new menu which includes both Western and Asian food. The children have been encouraged to choose the food they would like to try and serve themselves, as well as clear up their dishes afterwards. All children are given vegetables and encouraged to try a wide variety of food. Lots of children have opted to try both the Asian and Western options!
Please note:
-Full-time children will be in all day next week 7.55 am-2.30 pm. All full-time children should bring a toothbrush and toothpaste with them
-EYFS will celebrate Moon Festival on Thursday 19th September in the foyer at 8.30 a.m. Please bring your child to school in traditional Ao Dai and a uniform set in their bag. All EYFS parents are invited to share our celebration.
-Parent consultations will take place on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Please see the sign up on the classroom noticeboard.

Newsletter - 6th September
It has been a lovely time at school this week. We have been doing lots of activities in the classroom and we have had a great time exploring other areas around the school for the first time such as the soft playroom, Fundino playground and the Music room!
Children chose an animal to identify our unit and they have decided that the Elephant will best represent F2. Starting today, we will be called F2 Elephants and below is the song/chant that we have started in class.
Elephants, Elephants
We're F2 Elephants
Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp
Elephants, Elephants
Great, big elephants
( Make the elephant noise 3x)
On another note, please see below the copy of the F2 timetable. There is a slight change in music time from the one we sent to your email addresses.
Swimming sessions and library time will start next week. The New Book was sent home with Phuong Anh and Daisy this week.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to speak to us or send us an email.
Thank you and have a lovely weekend.
