Newsletter 10.01.2014

Welcome back to school! We hope all of you have had a well-deserved break and are all ready for the fun and exciting activities awaiting this term.

Let us welcome 3 new children in F2 who are Momoko, Nhut An and Daniel. They have been settling in well in the classroom and are beginning to make friends with other children. We also have Ms Francez who is a teacher-trainee and Ms Tram who used to work in F3 last term.

As you may have noticed as you came in the classroom this morning that we have taken 1 shelf out by the window. The shelf will be staying there for the remainder of the year to give way for a much better use of the space in the classroom. We have extended our Music and Movement area  to give our children more space to move and explore our resources. In addition, F2 children are now more confident and independent to be able to access their bags outside. May we please remind all the parents again to make sure that their children's personal belongings are properly labelled.

Every morning, children use the IWB (interactive whiteboard) to check/register their names independently. We slightly changed how they do this by putting the children into 2 groups. The children are aware of which group they are in so it is easier for the children to know which IWB to go to in the morning. We have Orange and Purple Elephants group.
